Legends Du Loire!
Not quite sure why it’s taken me half a year to finally get Harriett and Joe’s wedding up on the blog, but better late than never!!!
Chateau Allure du Lac (or Chateau Crystal as it was first presented to me), is a stunning 19th century property in the western part of the Loire Valley with a huge eponymous lake, beautiful terrace, tennis courts, and most importantly - close to a selection of local golf courses! It’s not hard to see why Harriett and Joe picked it for the wedding celebrations.
Despite having an on grounds-chapel, Harriett and Joe elected to have their ceremony under the dappled light of the trees, out by the lake, surrounded by friends and family that had travelled over from the UK. Fortunately there is plenty of accommodation on site to put them up after the pretty raucous party!!!
And by god do these two know how to throw a party. If I needed someone to set up a celebration for us then these two would be first on the list, what a rager!! After one of the most amusing ceremonies I’ve had the pleasure of watching (led by a not-so-catholic priest wearing a pimp hat) the guests enjoyed drinks on the back terrace before singing a full cover of stand-by-me while I took a group shot from the balcony. A memory I’ll remember as long as I’m shooting weddings for sure!
