“The photos are an absolute dream - such beautiful moments captured of this special day for us - we could not be happier with them :) :) :).

Literally the same evening you sent the link we sat down and looked at all the photos - a very emotional moment (especially for me - Sanat was just happy he was looking handsome in all the pics ;) ) .

Thank you so much for being so amazing at your job - every time we look at the pictures I notice another little detail that brings back more memories ... And of course we will never forget how you supported us on the day itself, taking the stress away, making us laugh, and guiding us through it all - doing way more than we could have ever expected.”

Well, what to say…

First of all, these two are just wonderful human beings. Bright, lively, conscientious, and kind. We felt thoroughly included, and looked after all day - beautiful folks in a beautiful place - perfect.

We first met Sanat and Sophie just 6 weeks(!) before their wedding at Naomi and Michael’s wedding where Sanat was acting as best man. Halfway through he sidles up, and starts making all the standard small talk we’re used to at weddings -

‘So how long have you been shooting for?’

‘Do you always shoot as a pair?’

‘Do you have many weddings this year?’

‘Do you ever shoot internationally?’

‘…And what do you charge?’

At this point my eyes are starting to narrow before his final question

‘Do you know if you’re free on the 24th August?’

‘In 8 weeks?’

‘Yeah’

And that was it. We had a quick chat over Skype a few days later to go through things and we booked flights a day or two after! What followed was brilliant. A glorious mix of backgrounds, nationalities, languages, food, and dance moves over 2 days - ending at gone 2 in the morning to German Dance music in the Lakeside Palace of the royal family of Württemberg!

We both loved it, and love the pictures - it might be the Ólafur Arnalds I’m listening to as I write and upload them all - but I’m actually getting a little emotional looking back over them again!
